Do I need previous canyoning experience?
No. Most of our guests are doing their first descent with us. Before we enter the canyon we show you how to fit your harness and handle the rope, and your guide is with you on every abseil. What you do need is to be able to move normally: no recent knee, shoulder or back injuries, and no medical condition that limits your mobility or your ability to make a physical effort. If you are unsure about your case, ask us before you book.
Do I need to know how to swim?
For the aquatic canyons, yes — you must be able to swim. We do not provide buoyancy aids. If you cannot swim, the alternative is one of our dry canyons, where there are no swimming sections and you are on your feet the whole way. Tell us when you book and we will point you to the right descent.
I am afraid of heights. Can I still do it?
A mild fear of heights is not a problem: on the abseil you are always on rope, facing the wall rather than the drop, and your guide controls your descent from below. That said, if you suffer from severe vertigo you cannot take part in the activity. It is a safety matter, for you and for the rest of the group.
What is the minimum age?
It depends on the canyon. On our family-level canyons, from age 10. On the beginner canyons, from age 13. In both cases children must be accompanied by a responsible adult who signs the consent form. For hiking routes we look at each case: write to us with the child's age and we will tell you which activity suits them.
What equipment is included in the price?
All the technical kit: helmet, harness, descender, ropes and a wetsuit when the activity calls for it. On the aquatic canyons we also provide the footwear. Everything is CE certified and checked before every descent. Accident, rescue and public liability insurance is included as well. You bring clothes, water and something to eat.
What should I wear and what footwear do I need?
On the aquatic canyons we provide the footwear. On the dry canyons and the hiking routes you must have hiking boots or trail running shoes; if you do not have any, we rent them for €10 per person. Bring comfortable sportswear as well, a full change of clothes for the car, water and something to eat.
What happens if it rains or the weather turns?
If conditions are not safe, we cancel. When that happens you choose: move to another date or take a full refund. We check the forecast and the state of the watercourse the day before and let you know on WhatsApp as early as we can.
Where do we meet? Is transport included?
We do not provide transport: you make your own way to the meeting point, and your own car or a hire car is always the best option. The exact location is shown on each activity page. You will also receive an email confirming the meeting point and time once your booking is confirmed.
